The basic technology consists of the measurement of the flow rate of the anaesthetic and a computer-controlled adjustment of the dose depending on the pressure in the tissue. This reduces the sensation of pressure-related pain and enables the gradual injection of the anaesthetic into the tissue in a controlled, painless manner.
